What should I include in my budget when micro-publishing?

Since micro-publishing operations are built so authors can retain all rights to their intellectual property (their book, audiobook, dvd, etc.), you should look at it as a business. It is a business. Let me repeat -- it is a business.

You'll need development costs, industry compliance items, product design and development, marketing, operations, fulfillment, training, administration, taxes, and other costs that would be associated with any business. We can help you through that process so you know what you are getting into. Don't forget that you have special expertise in your particular field, or you wouldn't be writing a book -- there is a value there and you should discuss this with your accountant.
